Vestal Universal Pre-Kindergarten Application

THIS IS NOT THE 2024-2025 UNIVERSAL PRE-KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION.

Welcome to the application page for Universal Pre-K (UPK)

We are pleased to inform you that the Vestal Central school district is planning to continue its UPK Program for the 2023-2024 School year, contingent upon the receipt of grant funding from New York State.

About the program:

The program runs Monday-Friday and follows the Vestal Central School District calendar for holidays and school closings/delays due to inclement weather.
We anticipate offering both half day (approx. 2.5 hours) and full day (approx. 5 hours) options for families.
Parents are responsible for transporting their child to and from the program.
There is a limited number of spots available for the program. A required lottery will be conducted if more applications are received than spots.

UPK Program Requirements

The child must be 4 years old on or before December 1, 2023.
You must be a resident of the Vestal Central School District
Complete the UPK application using Operoo and submit your required documents.

*Health documents will be requested at a later date. Please keep in mind that NYSED requires a physical exam for new entrants and students in pre-k.*

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT COMPLETING THIS REGISTRATION DOES NOT MEAN ACCEPTANCE IN THE PROGRAM. This program runs contingent on grant funding from New York State. Families will receive communication in the spring once the sites have been selected and spots have been awarded.

The online registration process will give us the initial information we need to enroll your student. During this process you will be asked to securely upload the following documents that are needed for registration:
